The tools
Every PDF tool on this site runs in your browser. We do not receive your documents, we cannot process them, and we have no copy of them. There is correspondingly little for us to promise or to break.
The tools are provided as they are, without warranty. They are tested — the test suite is public — and they will still sometimes be wrong. Keep your original file. Do not use this or any other software as the only copy of something that matters.
Some tools destroy information on purpose. Redaction removes content permanently and verifies that it is gone. Filling a form locks the answers in. Cleaning a scan replaces the page with an image. Each says so before you export, and once you have exported, the original is the only way back.
Share links
Share links are optional and are the one feature that uploads anything. What is uploaded is encrypted before it leaves your browser and cannot be read by us.
Links expire within 24 hours at the most, and may be deleted sooner — by you, by the download limit you set, or by us on an upheld abuse report. A share link is a way to hand someone a file now. It is not storage, and must not be relied on as a copy.
Anyone with the link can open it. Forwarding a link forwards the access, and we cannot tell who used it. If the link travels over a channel you do not control, use the optional passphrase.
Use of share links is subject to the acceptable use policy, which forms part of these terms.
What we log
For the tools: nothing about your documents, because nothing about them reaches us.
For share links: the identifier, the encrypted size, the timestamps, and the network address the request came from. We keep these briefly, for abuse handling and capacity, and they are deleted along with the share.
Pages served from this site are subject to our host’s standard logging, which we do not control and which sees the address and the page requested — not the document you are working on.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of this site — including lost or damaged documents, a share link that expired sooner than you expected, or content someone else shared through it.
Nothing here attempts to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes
We may change these terms. Material changes will be noted on this page with the date. Continuing to use the site after that is acceptance.
