Add a signature to a PDF

Put a signature on the last page of an agreement and drag it exactly where the line is. Because the document never leaves your machine, a contract you are signing is not copied to anyone else on the way.

How it works

  1. 01Open the PDF.
  2. 02Type the name to sign with.
  3. 03Drag the signature onto the signature line.
  4. 04Export.

This is a visual signature

It draws a signature onto the page. It is not a cryptographic signature and makes no legal claim of identity — a recipient cannot verify who applied it. Cryptographic signing needs a certificate and a trusted timestamp, which is a different feature and inherently requires a network.

Where it lands

By default the signature goes on the last page, which is where signature blocks usually are. You can apply it to every page instead if you are initialling.

Questions

Is this legally binding?
That depends entirely on your jurisdiction and the agreement, and we cannot advise on it. What this tool does technically is draw a signature onto the page; it does not attach a verifiable cryptographic identity.
Can I draw my signature instead of typing it?
Uploaded images now work — see the Image stamp tool, which places a scanned or photographed signature. Drawing one directly in the browser is still to come.
